Got a new hard drive and i've managed to re-install GP4!
As for this, I remember me and WillB tested this a while back using Hamachi. I mean we got it going, but as Lo2k said, it was terribly laggy and I think that online play is a long way off. Maybe on a 100mb/s connection it might be OK...

Grand Prix 4 Hey all,
Got a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me out with.
1) Dunno whether it's just my PC, but once I run a CSM mod, I get no rain, and the track just gets wet without any rain and clear blue skies. =S
2) Ages ago I downloaded these awesome hi-res skies by a guy called Lee, they were amazing... does anyone know where I can get them again?
Cheers in advance,

Grand Prix 4 Hey all,
A few months back you may have remembered me saying about the fact I was going to install GP4 to my External HD. Instead of doing that I decided to free up some space on my D: drive by uninstalling rFactor which wouldn't work properly with my PC. So now i'm back into the GP4 community.
So what is new? Sorry if there's already a thread about this - but i've been

Grand Prix 4 Hey all Long time no see hehe.
Been at least a year now since I played GP4, I had to uninstall it since I had no room on my hard drive. Shame really as some of the mods/tracks/add-ons are amazing.
Therefore, i've recently bought a Seagate 500GB HD and was wondering if it would be possible to run GP4 off that. At first glance myself i'd say yes since I can play media files and oth

Grand Prix 4 Well thanks for the advice guys. I tried MajorTom's fix to no avail. It seems to be an issue with running GP3 in Windows 98 compatability mode... however if I don't run it in that none of the newish tracks run and crash back to desktop instead.
On the asserts, this is what I got back after a crash running in 98 mode:
0x00413419 -> Bump range too high. Wrong slot or no cmagic us

Grand Prix 3 Hey all,
Been a while since I played GP3 apart from the F1GP3WC. I'm having a wierd problem in GP3. I have drafi's 2008 carset and Hungaroring 2003, unfortunatly there seems to be an issue with the steering. There is a delay from when I hit the keys to when the steering is recognised in game. Does anyone know what might be up? I'm running Gp3.exe in Windows 98 mode if that helps

Grand Prix 4 Hmm this is strange. I seem to be getting high PO (100% and above) even with my specs which should easily (and have) run GP3 fine. For some reason though recently it has got a higher PO... does anyone know why this might be?

Grand Prix 4 OK well I tried updating my Graphics drivers to see if that solved the problem... and it hasn't.
Has anyone else got any suggestions? Otherwise I won't be able to play GP4 anymore.

Grand Prix 4 Well I can't find the option to disable hyper threading.
But when I sent the error report to Microsoft, it said this:-
You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.
