There are several 2009 carshapes around but I've not found one that doesn't distort and stretch the graphics. You either use one of them and accept some of the grahics will look a bit strange or go with the default shape. If there is a 2009 shape that doesn't stretch the graphics then I'd love to hear about! I did post a comparison here: Although not completely reaby JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
If you're using IE then right click on the picture, choose "Save picture as", change the filetype to bmp and save it. Alternatively, copy it, paste it into a paint program and save it as a bmp. You're also much more likely to get polite help if you ask a question rather than keep joining this thread with random statements that it is dead. I'd be very interested in this too, if someone has a good quality 92 carset I'd be really grateful if they could share it.by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3

@Jacques26 - thanks for the kind words. I'm planning on doing the Skoal Banidt car next, the Jonathan Palmer Canon car is also on the list. I might do some more modern Porsches at a later date but I'm going to do the 80's 956/962's first.by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
As with the other cars posted here this is still a work in progress but as the NewMan car had been mentioned I thought I'd post a screenshot of Klaus Ludwig taking an early test drive:by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
What is considered to the best of the new carshapes? Is there one which everyone uses or are there lots out there? Could someone point me to a good generic 2009/10 carshape? Given the limitation of the GP3 model and texture stretching it would be great to have the original car but with the barge boards removed and the wings changed. It might not be accurate but I could accept that to avoidby JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
This is a great thread, thanks for all the cars so far, I already have a 2010 carset running with these cars, some 2009 cars and a couple I've painted. Just in case you've missed the news elsewhere here is the rest of the launch schedule: Ferrari - Jan 28th McLaren - Jan 29th Renault - Jan 31st Sauber - Jan 31st Mercedes - Feb 1st Toro Rosso - Feb 1st Williams - Feb 1st Forby JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
The NewMan livery is definitely in my list to do. I've now done 80-90% of Stefan Bellof's 1985 car: I'll try and get the carset up and running and then go back through and tidy up a few of the minor errors.by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
I've decided to start on my first complete GP3 carset. I'm going to base it one of my favourite cars, the Porsche 956/962 which had some great drivers and liveries from the early 80's to the early 90's. The first car I've made is Gerhard Berger's Brun Jagermeister car which is about 80-90% finished in this picture. Once I've tidied it up a bit I'll moveby JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3

I now have the artwork, many thanks! If anyone has a pitcrew template that would be great.by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
Hi folks, I'm after a couple of files if anyone is able to help me out. I need: 1. A blank pitcrew bitmap (or template) I can use to paint the pit crew. 2. The team artwork for Bojan Tarticchio's excellent 1994 season. I've found links but they're all dead. If anyone could post those files or e-mail them to me I'd be extremely grateful. Many thanks.by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
I've just starting painting a car and it was looking ok with the standard carshape, when I tried it with the 2009 carshape everything starting looking stretched and warped (particularly the engine cover and sidepods). Is there a 2009 carshape that retains most of the original car body but just has different wings? The picture below hopefully shows what I mean (ignore the actual graphicsby JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
Indeed, I've very much enjoyed my return to GP3 in the last few weeks here. Thank you to everyone who helped me get back up to speed and season's greetings to all! I'm already looking forward to the 2010 carsetby JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3

Does anyone have any artwork for Bojan Tarticchio's excellent 1994 carset? On the subject of missing files, are all the EMAC carsets links dead? I can't get any of their carsets.by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3

They're still work in progress really as I'm still learning to paint these things. I'm happy to share though, where do I upload to? Do I just post a picture of the painted car? This was one of my favourite cars in F1C, I'm afraid I can't remember who made it or where I downloaded it from but after about an hour I managed to make it for GP3:by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
If you've seen my other thread you'll know I've just come back to GP3 after a long break, I'm getting back into it but have a few questions if someone would be kind enough to help out: 1. Carshapes - I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but all the carshapes I use keep switching between the new and the original shape. So for something like 2009 when I'by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
Thanks for the link, that's a work of art. I'm glad I made my car though, I can compare it with the one from Loren and learn a few things. Early days in my GP3 painting career!by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
I searched everywhere for a 1997 Lola but couldn't find one. It was always one of my favourite looking cars even though it was a complete disaster! I'm making one, I think it looks ok, a bit of tidying up here and there but not bad.....by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
Thanks for all the messages, I've just spent an hour working out how to paint GP3 cars..... my first attempt is below, it's about 50% complete but I'm just starting to learn where everything goes! The hardest bit seems to be the cockpit surround which seems to break up the engine cover. A bit more testing is required but I'll get there in the end!by JohnnyFiama - Grand Prix 3
I was clearing out our spare room last week and whilst tidying up some drawers I found my old GP3 CD. I've always been a fan of the Geoff Crammond games, I'm old enough to have played Revs on the BBC computer when it came out! I've played every version since then but just couldn't get on with GP4.
