Hi

I am going to buy the G27 steering wheel of Logitech, i think it's the best wheel at this moment? What racing games do you really recommend using this steering wheel? Could you pls tell me? I am playing with Windows 7.
rFactor, GTR2, iRacing.

rFactor for the modness, GTR2 for the AI, iRacing for the pure awesomeness.

Where can i get Rfactor? I also heard good stories about DIRT2?
rFactor is a download, then you pay online to get an unlock key. You could hang in there and wait till rFactor2 is released. I have Dirt2, it was a good buy, worth the money. I also have NFS Shift, and Race On, all are good with a wheel. The G27 has a different shifter to a G25, check the difference before you buy, you might just want the G25. :-)

Do you prefer a G25 playng these games? And secondly ..do i understand you right that rfactor will be released on a dvd?

rFactor is released on DVD, it's around 10 quid, depending on where you look. eBay is always a good option.

GTR2, GTR Evolution etc seem to go really well on a wheel. I can't really get good ffb settings on rFactor but on the GTR games it feels really good.

I can't seem to get it working on my PC. I'll have a go when I have my new PC.

What's the problem?
Everytime I start it up the display flickers, to the point where it's unplayable. I've fiddled with the settings both ingame and in my ATi Catalyst Control mcentre, but it seemed to make no difference. Everything also seemed very low res, ingame, when it stopped flickering.

I have all the needed patches etc.

You've got the Direct3D or OpenGL patches? Tried the V2 ones?

Edit: Also, GPL doesn't work well with ATI's AA and AF in Direct3D, so try disabling that in the Catalyst Control Center if you have them forced.

Is it possible (like in gp4) to modify cars, make your own carsets, tracks etc in other racegames like GTR2, GRANDPRIX LEGEND, DIRT2, IRACING ETC
I'd try RBR, too

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

I couldn't get it on my Dell Vostro Vista 32-bit either, really took away a lot from the game as especially rally games need to give you that feel of the car.
