Very frustrating, was hoping to play some FS2009 today, they problably didn´t expect that much traffic! They should release it as a torrent.

Somebody suspiciously named mortal on rFactor Central put this:

You guys lol, the pro modding site is in Roubaix France. It is offline, and I would think the reason is because they expect an onslaught of hits. The release time is set for 23:00 and that could be 23:00 local time or 23:00 GMT, and there might only be a half hour difference anyway. Unless you stay up late, you wont get it till tomorrow, and only if the site comes back online. Right now it is around 6am there. :-)

"Don t Worry About The Release , will be released as it plane today at 22:00 ( GMT+2 )
We are now resolving the website problem, cause the band with and the lot of visitors yesterday colapsed the server, so calm down and all thing will be OK ;)

Ah, good news. I thought for a minute they'd gone under. Thanks dio69!

EDIT: [www.virtualr.net]

Also IPM's website is back up! [www.fsone2009.com] That will be why then, changes to the web address, presumably.

Has it been released? Is it available anywhere other than IPM?

Is it me or is this not that great? :(

The physic's seem ok but nothing special and you can't even run it on high graphic settings yet LOL.

FFB seems pretty good though.

Edit:// Damage is crap too.

I much prefer the 'alternate physics' that have cropped up. It's quite enjoyable - and i use that word in lieu of knowing if it's 'realistic'. Shame about the external sounds clearly being from a V10, though...

If you use the 'alternate physics', can you still get a server match? Would you have a link to these 'alternate physics' by any chance?

I would assume you will get a mismatch if you join a server running the default physics. It's on RFC:

I might attempt to make an upgrade for all cars, so you can choose to use default physics or these alternate ones.

Can someone make 2010 skins and change the driver names?

When we get templates I and a couple of friends might attempt, but only if we get templates.

Is there a track pack for this mod yet? Sorry if the question is stupid, but I'm new to rfactor...

I know for a fact IPM are making Valencia and Spa scratch built. But I'm not sure about anything else.

And can I use "normal" 2009 tracks with this mod?
