Hey all! I was thinking about organising some kind of race for us and our friends to take part in on rFactor sometime. I recently downloaded a Clio mod (found here: [www.virtualr.net]) and was really impressed with the car's physics and I've been having some fantastic racing with my best mate.

So would anyone here be interested in helping me sort out some sort of race?

I would but driving a Clio... no thanks :P. 79 mod, Cartfactor 98, F3, one of those would be fine.

hhm they're all open wheelers though and clio's tend to provide some really good close racing..

out of those 3 though i'd sooner do F3

Well, finding a good tintop mod isn't easy at all, I'd love to run such but I'm not touching the Porsches as they are boring :P.

You tried the Skoda Octavia mod? You can really throw those things around, theyre great fun to drive and the cars are always really close!

As for track suggestions....uuhm, Thermalito? ;) jk

yeah i hate those skodas for the simple reason my mate is quicker than me in them!

we did another race last night with the clio's at croft, thats a brilliant circuit to race on we found! i'd personally chose donnington though :P

I'd join if this gets off the ground. Unfortunately history teaches me that these races usually don't get off the ground ;)

Sounds like a plan this online racing :) i take it we're using the latest verion of the clio mod found at rfc? I'll download it and give it a go, what time do you normally set up a server and where abouts are you?

well we haven't decided upon the clios yet but seeing as it's only 5mb it might be a good mod to get us off our feet and racing. i posted a link to the mod in my first post at the top of the page.

We should do some Le Mans type event maybe? :) I downloaded a load of GT cars today in an attempt to recreate my own but the corvette c6 mod is awesome to drive and the aston martin dbr9 is a whole lot of fun too.
