Hi everyone,

maybe you know the old LucasArt-Classic "Day Of The Tentacle"... I downloaded a program called "ScummVM" and played the whole Curse of Monkey Island with it, successfully.

Now I wanted to play The day of the tentacle, but after the intro, I'm standing in the room and whatever I do, I can only see subtitles, no any speech... I'm confused with it. Maybe somebody in here knows a solution....?

Thanks a lot already,

Tanja.

i played the lucas arts classics using the scumm util for modern pc's but didnt encounter any sound related problems.

The only thing i can suggest it you try posting here [forums.scummvm.org]

Day of The Tentacle originally was released on floppy without speech and later on CD with voices. The version with speech should be 280Mb as opposed to the roughly 6Mb the old floppy version has.

If you downloaded the game somewhere it is
a) most likely the 6Mb version without speech and
b) illegal since it still has copyright.
