Just out of idle curiosity, i thought i'd ask your favourite games system. Here is the list of the ones I own in favouriteism order (from most fave to least)

1: PS1. Leaped up from third today after playing GT2 again. Favourite Games, GT2, Driver, MGS
2: Sega Megadrive. Got mine when i was 13. Fave games were/are Fifa international, streets of rage, columns, and of course, Sonic
3: PC. Not really a console i know, but hey. finally got one that can handle games properly last month. fave games, BF2, GP4, Civ3
4: Sega Master System. First console i owned, and i recently bought another one on Ebay (£2.67) Fave games, Safari Hunt, Sonic and Transbot
And Finally
5: PS2. yup the most recent console is in last place. only game i still play on it is CMR2005 and MGS 2 & 3

Anybody else???

Hmmmm, well for me I never had consoles when I was young, mum and dad were tight hehe ;) so the only ones in a list i have would be -

1. PC. always had a PC since I was about 10, grew up with them :)
2. Xbox 360, first console I really bought properly and loved everything about it since!
3. Gameboy, only console I was given when I was young! Was great with games like Zelda, Mario, Mario Golf etc :)
4. PS2, had one of the slimline ones, didn't have it for very long as it was bought about a year before I got the 360, except for the Thumb cramp I got was a great console!

Our family is a bit console crazy, I'd have too many to list here ;-) I'll just do the top 5. I don't really consider the PC a console, so I won't include that...

1. N64 - Our first console that I was old enough to play 'properly'. It brings back so many great memories, and for me it was the pinacle before games started to go downhill
2. Wii - Nintendo have hit the nail on the head for me here! It's great fun and has a lot of potential, but it's only just started...
3. PS2 - The huge selection of some pretty good games, but nothing really that outstanding
4. DS - Once more, a great selection of games.
5. NES - It's aged now, but being my first console it holds a place in my soppy heart :)

1. PC - it's hard to justify picking anything that doesn't have a keyboard and mouse as your method of control. :)
2. SNES - My first console, and I still play all of the old games (plus some others I've found) nowadays... ah, the memories! Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc.
3. Playstation 1 - Again, nostalgia kicking in here, with memories of GT, F1'97, Final Fantasy again...
4. Gameboy - Portable games machine. Genius, way ahead of its time. And I mean the original gameboys, the ones that were bigger than bricks!
5. Anything else. I've always been a PC far, never really got into consoles. But the ones I've had, I've enjoyed.

My favourite game systems:

1. PC: There are a lot of great games on PC and the graphics are amazing. PC's get faster all the time and it it easy to buy a faster PC. Some of the world's best selling games are on PC.

2. PS3: I have never played it before, but some of the screenshots are AMAZING!!

3. PS2: Great graphics, Great games.

Of course, nothing beats the real thing!!!

Of course :) I much prefer running at 100mph and collecting gold rings with my face than playing Sonc the Hedgehog.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned NES. For me it will always be THE game console.

It was the first game console I played, and I think also the best one. I think that a game console should be a device that has simple but addicting games that are easy to learn, and no other console has done it that well for me as the NES has.

I'm not a fan of these new generation consoles at all, though I would love to try Nintendo Wii, as it seems they have atleast tried something new.

If I wan't to play simulations or other games that require much of getting into, I use PC.

1.sega mega drive (played it for days and days especially sonic and streets of rage 2 and 3)

2.playstation 1 ( had a lot of cool games so a lot of gameplay)

3.nes (was very cool because of the mario games :) and duckhunt :))

4.playstation 2 (it has some cool games but they didn't gave as much as fun as the games of the first 3 consoles)

5.snes ( was dissapointed a little with this because it was almost the same as sega mega drive)

ah forgot to mention the dreamcast. That was a hell of a console (SONIC ADVENTURE) but the Marketing of SEGA was pretty bad here in holland so there weren't a lot of games. So we sold it after a year. But i think if the marketing was better it would have been around 2nd place in my list.

Can't believe no-one has mentioned the commodore amiga yet. You could play GP1 on that as well. Someone from Norwich made an editor for it. You sent him an envelope with your name on it and a £1 coin, he sent you the envelope back with a disk inside with the editor on! Send him a pound coin now and again and he'll send you the updates...all pre-internet of course!
