How would the F1 licence deal with a game like GP1 was, with all the fake names and teams?

If you use fake drivers, teams and cars you should be OK. Track names too I guess, unless you get permission from the track itself.

That's the thing... you don't need an F1 licence to make a perfectly viable F1 game. You just make it as close as you possibly can, then change all the names and liveries... whilst leaving it open to large editable possibilities, allowing the proactive online community to rapidly turn it inot an F1 sim. :)

Chizzlus Chinnius >> David Coulthard. /me's not seeing the relationship! ;)

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

I am considering a name change and ofcourse to be safe the addition of fictional inclusions rather than real names which will require bog loads of cash to pay for the license, i also believe the name may have to be changed perhaps some great suggestions could be considered.
maybe...

I guess the name change is because of licenses?
this is a mammoth task but hopefully it can kick on from here

I prefer GPR to RevolutionF1 btw

Excellent, glad to know there's been such a major development with the name.

Any news on the actual game content yet........?

Nice trick with the blue lion team and SLB ;)

Only blue in italian is azzura or something, so it would have been "Squadra azzurra" ;)

Ofcourse we should have teambosses and other major participants to:

Teambosses
John Teadt (ferraro)
Brian Flaviotore (Renno)
Dennis Ron (McLarenen)
Yashmina Tamadashi (Yoyota)
Franz Villheims (Villheims)
Horny Chris (Blue Lion)
Fried Nick (Doh! Na!)
Daniel Audi (and ofcourse Alto Suzuki) (super Cucumber)
Gerald Mountaineer (Squadra Leo Azzura)
Micky Cashcoin (Spiker)

And ofcourse "Al" Mostly Max and Ernie Buggerstone.

Why names already, when we dont have any new info about the "game" itself? I thought from the beggining that this wont work, and looks like I was right.

A. It's a kind of sarcasm
B. It's just fun to mess around with those names ;)

As if i believe there will be a GP5 game from scratch that is up to date when it comes out.
