Question about F1C '99-'02 / F1 2002

I was just wondering what the graphics engine of F1C is like in comparison to F1 2002. i.e. if F1 2002 runs smoothly on a pc will F1C run about the same or will it require more from a pc?

Thanks in advance.

It's been a while since I had either of these games installed, so my memory might be a little foggy on this subject. However, I seem to recall that both games looked remarkably alike, although, I suppose that F1C was possibly a little tiny bit better looking, and that F1C ran at a about 80% of the framerate of F1-2002, at the same graphics settings, on my system.

Really wow so F1C looks slightly better and runs better? *Uninstalls F1 2002 and buys F1C*

Waits for F1C to arrive, then un-installs, and installs GP4 ;) :P
Lol no :P
Yeah, both about the same. F1 does look better, I manage to get about 90fps :)
Also, the setup bit for F1C is useful :), the manual bit in the book, I use it for GP4 :P

I used to be a big GP4 fanboy, but recently, if your pc is up to if, get rFactor, its a lot better and looks great only problem is that most the f1 tracks are converted from F1C, so they look poo and there s no proper F1 carset. If you do get rFactor download CTDP's Bahrain, its a beautiful track

You misunderstood me.
I meant that it runs a bit slower than F1-2002 did at the same graphics settings.

It's pretty much the same game with four seasons of cars and tracks rather than one, although the different years' tracks are quite inaccurate in terms of graphics and hardly differ from one another much in that respect.

No addon makers have really even made an attempt at making any accurate earlier season (2002 and earlier) F1 tracks for the game other than Melbourne.

Oh right sorry I get it.

I always used to play GP2, GP3, then GP4, but in the last week I've changed over to F1 2002 and thinking about buying F1C. F1 2002 runs pretty damn well on my shitbox.

F1C's graphics on the cars are vastly improved over F1 2002.

Because Ralph Hummerich did that cars. Not ISI/EA Sports.

@ Dave, yeah eh did a good job on them. I was searching for a post you made a while back, showing the comparative differences between F12002 and F1C (it depicted a Minardi pit stop), but couldn't find it. Any chance you could link to those pictures please?
