What about a short one off race tonight at some track? Maybe Toban reversed?

The WOSEC section of VTR is doing some last minute preperations and driver swap practice, so I'm unavailable.

Just wondering if anyone would have any objections to the race being extended to 2.4 hours?

That way, we can have the full 24hrs of time scaling, instead of 20hrs ;)

Changed =)

By the way. See instead of the server that is currently up. Would there be demand for an F3 or something, and I'll just put up the ZRGP one for the qualifying this week, and the race next week?

what tracks are on rotation? there are already loads of F3 servers unless you want it for some other reason

At the moment there's no rotation, because it's set up for the 24 hour race

It's not too late :)

Even if you don't get a code for tomorrow, you can still take part in the race next week and just start from the back.

I do suggest you buy a cushion though. In the VTR endurance races my arse is normally killing me when you get over the 1 hour barrier - me needs a new chair.

8pm UK time, or 7pm GMT because of summer time

Thats completly confused me now, have the clocks gone back, going back?

Mechanical failures: Time scaled

Whats that actually mean? never understood it.

It means you won't get a wheel failure every minute in a long race. Basically, it means you've got as much chance of getting a car problem in a short race, as you have in a full one. It will adjust it automatically. Same as GPx did.

Matt... meet at 8pm our time. We are GMT+1 atm I think.

Yep, thats right.

You have to remember GMT doesn't change with summer time when the clocks go forward an hour, so if you are currently in summer time (i.e. you put your clocks forward earlier in the year) you turn up at 7pm GMT, plus the one hour you added.

Things are a lot easier when the farmers don't have their way ;)

Just something I thought of, remember that this is a long race, so gear your car correctly :P It might sound obvious, but in the interest of a good race, you don't want to be pulling max rpm down the back straight every lap. Also, since rFactor has an ambient temperature, I assume this will drop at night giving you a bit more power - something else to consider in your setup.
