RFactor atmosphere?

I've been playing Grand Prix series from the beginning and I'm a big Formula 1 fan. My question to you who have bought RFactor: Is it possible to get that great "real" F1 feeling in that game after more mods come out? My personal feeling, having read a lot about the game, is that no.
I personally don't like the feature that you have to earn money to get cars. I find it somehow arcade. I'm one of those people who just want to do a championship straight away. I'm sure RFactor has a great physics engine and is overall a great game, but ...
This is hard to eplain, but in GP4 you feel like you're in the F1 world.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to buy the game and play it online (and beat the crap out of anyone else ;) ), I'm simply saying that this game will never be a match to Grand Prix series in F1 atmosphere offline. I do play other sims beside F1, but since this is F1 forum, I thought I'll ask your opinions.

I said, I think. That's why I'm asking. Don't be so jumpy. So what do you think? Isn't it allowed to discuss about a game I don't own? I've read a lot about this game and followed closely it's development.

Well I dont know about some abstract feeling of atmosphere in a computer game but I do know that if you want a driving simulation rfactor makes GP4 look silly. And if you dont want to unlock cars you just have to type a simple cheat takes 5 seconds :)

i've not played GP4 in ages tbh, it was too much hassle setting up your pc for it, i'm loving rfactor, but if its what you want the only way you'll ever now is to go and buy it and find out yourself

weird, try selecting something other than auto for the dx shader. Also make sure you monitor supports the resolution and refresh rate you've selected.

@PANKYKAPUS

Are you using a shortcut????

If so, go to the directory you installed rFactor and run rFconfig.exe.

Set your options, click on Send and then OK.

Then click rFactor.exe and run the game there
