any major changes or is it pretty much the same as it has been for the last 10 years?

I know network code has been updated, so hopefully I will be able to slaughter people online now, rather than just win :P

Huh? Every PES has been different! Th efeel changes from year to year and it gets better every year! I'll wait for the console version but I'm sure this is gonna rock.

also pes won't be super good until it gets bloody 360 degree player movement and control :( Can't see this happening till there is a new engine though, so probably until playstation 3 is out which I don't know when that is.

Been playing the demo for an hour or so and im super impressed! It feels so smooth and flowing! The gameplay is quite similar to PES4, but it has fixed all of its problems, and added stuff that was missing. It's near perfection! Can't wait for the full game!

I just bought this game, the controls are in awful places (i use gamepad), and how are you meant to change them since it just lists aload of symbols representing differant buttons. It looks like it's just been copied straight from a console.

Can someone tell me on the PS2 what:

triangle
square
circle
x

do please. Because I need to know what they do as I am not playing it on the ps2.

Triangle = Through Ball
X = Pass
Circle = Lofted Pass
Square = Shoot

hey, i've bought one of those PS2 to USB converter things off of play.com, so i can use the PS2 controller, only problem is that the analogue sticks don't function as they should, therefore most of the skills are unavailable. Anyone else use a PS2 to USB converter, or does everyone just use a proper PC gamepad?

thanks in advance

I do and managed to setup things alright, except that anything with R3 doesn't work

I just use the thrustmaster dual power 3 pad I have. There isn't even full analogue support on the xbox and ps2 ones - you can still only move in 8 directions, it's quite sad :(

tbh, PES4 is so good, I can't rationalise spending money on a footie game anymore!

and I stick to my faithful failing keyboard :P

And I agree with Chris there, the next one I'm buying will be Winning Eleven again, but only after a new engine is out and when I will be able to play that (in other words, has to be some machine different than mine ;))
