They're normally the one's tagged as "arcade racers" Gui. We laugh at them.

Yes it is a detail, but a major one in my view. GPL has it, and it even moves up if you want. I don't know about having the hand flicking someone off, but the arms are there.

Realism is your own hands on your own wheel. If you don't have a wheel, then it's not a sim. If you don't have hands, then meh.

I don't need 2 extra 3D arms to make me feel like an octupus. It makes no difference to the feel of the game - it adds nothing.

if you want nice touches, play Simbin's games, if you want to race something with all the important stuff working properly play rfactor, as simple as that really

Arms are a minor point tbh. The main thing is the physics, and there great, so i dont see your point gui

arms dont really make the game anymore of a simulation yeah ( and dont make it anymore arcadey either) but they definitely add to the immersion.

It's exactly what I am saying, Dave and Gav, some people care about certain details while others don't. Karan used the word I didn't think of, immersion, that sums it up for me.

And I never mentioned physics, that's not a simple detail.

So... having 4 arms adds to the "immersion"?

GPL has arms, but I couldn't care less if they weren't there. I have my own. I wouldn't miss them.

There's more pressing matters for the developers to sort out before such trivial matters are looked at.

Personally I like the arms in GPL, but I can live without them in other sims because I know nobody can make arms like that without pissing me off. I've seen the ones in F1C, and the drivers just look plain retarded
