No, ytou'll run DX8.1 - that's what your card is good for. It won't be good enough for DX9.0C though. Get a better card. Look at a 6800 Non Ultra, or a x800 GT if you want a new one :)

Yeah, should run pretty well on your system Joeku. Maybe not quite on full detail though.

Just read it was supposed to be released today, but they have a few things to tidy up. It's now been pushed back until next week. Still not sure if i'll buy it right away. Out of the box it doesn't have enough meat to it for me. As soon as the mods start appearing i'm sure i'll get it.

@Joeku:

with more ram, it would run well, but now, with only 512mb, probably not as good. But you will see, and if there will be a need to have more ram, you could buy more ram, its cheap nowadays anyway.

The demo basically means jack @#$%& as to the real performance you'll get as it wont bear that much resemblance to the final game, it was just to test the multiplayer code.

em i asked them myself via email and they are; its official;

PIII 1.0 GHz or equivalent
256 MB RAM
Geforce 3, or Radeon 8500 minimum
64 MB video RAM minimum
Win 98 SE, Win ME, Win 2k, Win XP, Win XP 64-bit (will not run in Win95 or Win98 first edition)
DirectX 9.0c
1.1 GB free HD (the installer requires this, we dont)

The rFConfig program should complain about any hw/sw spec it doesnt like -
though we're kinda lax on enforcing the CPU requirement,any part of your machine not up to spec, rfconfig will present some error text and links to places with possible sw upgrades.

Even though it has DirectX 7 and 8 modes, I believe it actually needs DirectX 9 installed, which you can't do on either Win95 or Win98FE.

I believe there's a Windows ME fix on the official rFactor website. Might work for 98 too.
