The Big F1C Thread v1.0

I thought this was a nice idea, making a big F1C thread, for all screenshot, questions, news, problems, requests etc.

I think I've made a fool out of myself the last days, posting some questions about F1C in the GP4Forum :$ Sorry for that 1 guys, think this is a better idea

I have to confess I had F1c on my pc. GP4 is way better.
So let's begin slate F1c!
- Steering is terrible.
- It's ugly.
- When you topple over, you topple over 41.956 times and 15m high in the air.
- It's unrealistic.
- There isn't any challenge at all.
- It's made by EA.

Well, I like F1C, especialy the RH2004 mod. I dont play GP4 anymore, because of the bad physichs, it just feels wrong. In RH2004, the feeling is the same as it looks on TV, and its great. Well, thats my opinion. I agree with Floris, that it is a good think to start a one mayor topic about F1c, so that we wont have many topics about it.

I thought this was just an F1C thread - it's turning into yet another F1C vs GP4 one...

I def prefer F1C.

Playing GP4 now really annoys me - the menus are too slow. I hate the way you exit the driving screen to set up the car and then have to reload to drive - takes too long for my liking.

I know if I put the work in and update GP4 as much as I've updated F1C, I'd probably change my mind.

I will admit F1C needs a LOT of tweaking, but the feel of the cars seem more realistic. You get more of a sense of slip angles, roll and mid corner under/oversteer - however, I am one of the millions who has never driven an F1 car so I don't know for sure, but it's how I imagine it to be.

A simple adjustment of the Speed Sensitivity setting make a BIG difference to how the car drives and feels - it basically needs to be 0% if you're using a wheel.

Lets put it this way... I don't have F1C and i never ever ever plan to. I swear though, the cars look like there sunk into the road unlike GP4. Why don't we also open the Great F1C vs. GP4 Thread? Nah, people willl get banned for getting leary over two F1 racing games

Jonny i'm puzzled here, you've said that you don't have F1C and never plan to yet you still feel compelled to post in a thread opened specifically for people that enjoy it.

Apart from trying to start a flamefest i fail to see why you needed to post at all?

I hated it for the first month, wanted to break the CD. But then I got used to the much different handling and so on. It's much easier on my laptop than GP4 (runs much better), it has easier to install mods, and you can play online too.
Ah, a steering wheel helps a ton :P

F1C's good. Graphics engine is very dated now but can look nice - unfortunately there are a lot of shocking mods and tracks which just look foul, however there are a few gems (WGTS mod @ Simbin's Mugello is glorious)

The best thing with RH2004 and CTDP2004 is, that you get a track specific car for each team. That rocks..

Well.. In f1c Kimis McLaren realistic: much faster than any other cars and it will blow after 70-80seconds! :P

And F1c is best dtm game what I have ever played..

And it is best way to drive japanese gt cars in old nurburgring in middle of modern F1 cars.. :P

Something good there is but Gp4 will always be better F1 game!

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

The best thing in f1c compared with gp4 is the new tracks.
Driving in the Nordschleife in the 75mod, in Le Mans with the proto-c mod or Laguna seca in SCCmod is awesome!
