i downloaded some 2005 F1 skins and copied them into the skin directory but they dont appear in the game, what gives?

Im not good at explaining things, so i'll do the best i can here

For a new skin, select the F08. On the left hand side there is a car colours collum. At the bottom press NEW. Call it Ferrari or BAR or whatever. Then on the tabs along the bottom (info, colours, brakes etc), select COLOURS. Make sure the colour tint bars are too the far right, click TEXTURE NAME, select it from the list and you should be done

Adding skins to AI cars in single player (it's a crap way of doing things tbh, but the only way): [forum.rscnet.org]

As for your own skin, in the pits/garage screen, top left there is a colours menu, click New, then the Colours button along the bottom, you can use the sliders to adjust car and wheel colours (and sometimes other components, like text etc). In this menu right at the bottom is a button to open your skin, aslong as you put the file in the "skin" folder and it's named correctly it should appear in the list.

Oh, and thanks for the comment on my skins :D

I wasn't taking the piss I was interested to see how much mileage you've done since you got LFS. I did something like 500 miles when I first got it Whats your username so I can add it to my list, makes it easier to find servers with people I know on them
