There was an article about it in the Official Playstation 2 Magazine in November Or December last year, it basically stated that he had been fired although he had said he quit that inside sources had told them he had been fired.

ah cool, i just never heard that before, so i wanted conformation, its sad in a way because of the brilliance of Driver, yet they make Driver3 rubbish. IMO they tried to hard to make it like GTA, DRIVER was all about driving, get from one point in the city to the next the quickest you could. Driver 2 and Driver 3 they got it where u have to get out and shoot people? wtf thats not driving.
