Open your file 'default.cfg' under the Save folder. Scroll down to the lines that say "LocalCam=TVCOCKPIT". Copy the below settings:
LocalCam=TVCOCKPIT
{
Fov=(87.500000, 62.500000)
Clear=TRUE
Color=(0, 0, 0)
ClipPlanes=(0.305000, 500.000000)
LODMultiplier=(1.000000)
MipmapLODBias=(-.600000)
Size=(1.000000, 1.000000)
Center=(0.500000, 0.500000)
Flags1=(0)
Flags2=(0)
RadiusLimits=(2.000000, 2.000000)
OrientationRate=(35.000000, 35.000000, 25.000000)
PositionOffset=(0.097760, 0.308553, 0.3250790) \\(Left-Right, Up-Down, Back,Forward)
OrientationOffset=(-0.110000, 0.000000, 0.000000)
Radius=(0.07000)
And replace your current lines with those.
Now your t-cam should be slightly to the left of the centre of the car, just like in real life!
