gpl problem

I decided to dig out that old game GPL and update it. But when I go try to install it I get this



I still get this even if I try opening up the setup.exe manually from the CD :s
Im using Windows XP with SP2. Even if I pust ignore it just closes the box and doesn't do anything else :S

WinXP SP2 here too, and I don't get that problem, so it must be something else.

Can you copy the CD contents to your hard drive? [I'm thinking it could be a scratched CD or something]

yup I can do that and the CD works find on my other computers. Seems to have something to do with the system that it doesn't like :S

I had that problem a while ago, its when a virus or some spyware corrups the files used to run Command & Dos within windows Xp. You can download a fix from here:

[rapidshare.de]

Move these into your c:/windows/system32 folder & overwrite the originals & its hould work again, worked for me anyway.

nevermind guys, I sent him my own autoexec.nt :P

Where I am supposed to put the Autoexec.nt file in?

As I have recently upgraded to XP and my GPL doesn't work as it CTD when I tried to play the patched game.
