Convert GP4-F1C
In the end it's very easy to convert from GP4 to F1C. I did a lot of cars for the RH04. First of all you need Zmodeler, Photoshop, GP4Master and maybe 3deditor (don't the real name ) Download a GP4 car. You'll notice that there are several files. For example: car_mclaren_car1_lod_1.gp4. Open Zmodeler and import the file into Zmodeler by using the import option. Now you have the carshape. For RH there are three very importand pieces. If you use a Williams the parts are named: MG03VA(body), MG03RWA(rearwing), MG03FWA(frontwing). In the lower right corner you see the several parts from the GP4 file. First we start with the VA. deselect all the parts that are not part of the VA model. So no suspention, wings or wheels. Now you have the VA model, but it still exists from several pieces. Go to the righthand side of the screen. Go to create ---> objects --->uniteselect. Nou select the parts in your screen. Name them: MG03VA. then do the same with the wings. Then import another original file from F1C. You'll notice that the positions are different. Select your own model (VA,FWA and RWA together) Go to: Modify ---> move and move the body around untill it fitts in the original file. deselect the original file. Select your new model. All parts. Go to Edit ---> attributes and select F12001 filter. Now select all the options. The carshape should be done now.
Now the textures. Open GP4Master and use the .TEX editor. open the tex files that came with the cartshape. It should be three or four or five files. click 'extract selected file' Save it somewhere. It now is a TGA file Do this with all the parts. Now use Photoshop to open the TGA files and save them as bitmap. Now mirror the files. save them like this.
Now go back to Zmodeler. Use the Matrial editor (red ball in the toolbar) Somewhere on the top is a drop menu. open it. You now have a choice from several files. For example: hi_williams_1. these names correspond with the textrures you just saved. click on one of the files. now click on 'load map' somewhere on the bottom. you now have to load your texture. Do this with all the parts. and click on ok. The car should now have the correct textures. now export the files to the right folder. For example: RH2004_FW26. dont forget to put the textures there as well. This should do the job.
