Does anyone have any idea how to get F1CS2000 to work on XP? I can install it, but when it starts loading a race or practice or whatever it crashes to desktop.

maybe you can set the compatability to work with windows 2000 or 98?
just right click on the shortcut or exe and change the compatability, it might help.

Yeah...AFAIK you can't get F1CS2000 to work on a WinXP machine. That's what I discovered when I first got XP....after I while (read: 15 minutes) I gave up and bought GP4 instead. Haven't looked back TBH.

Damn. Ah well, back to GP4. Thanks anyway guys.

Have you tried running the game in software mode instead of hardware mode?

I have Windows XP PRO and it always crashed out to the desktop when attempts were made to play in hardware mode.

Switch it to software and it should work although the graphics will closely resemble a PSOne game.

This should work perfectly. Tested around Australia and Britain as M. Schumacher, M. Hakkinen and J. Button.

NOTE: Do not attempt to configure the graphics options in the game menus as this will cause it to crash to the desktop again. You can though configure you gamepad/joystick in though.

This should work fine.
