what is startforce? Some dodgy cd check thing that buggers your pc?

Also what does the other demo have?

They all have Starforce.

P.S. I'm quite enjoying the demo actually, despite the crashes (One of which still exists from the Beta Demo) the performance of the game is good, a lot better than GTP, I may buy GTR.

Just for the record, I never experienced any crashes with the full GTR (german translation).

Also, GTP runs a heck of a lot better on my system than GTR. I can lift the AA and AF levels to stupendous settings with GTP.

I'm enjoying this new demo too. And for the record here, GTR runs better than GTP for me. (ATi Card). And starforce hasnt caused me any problems yet.

GTP does run well here too, but you should be aware that the frame-rate it reports when you press f bears no relation to reality
Fraps reports the frames much lower.

Well I dunno - my usual cut-off point is 35fps (anything beyond, and I struggle to see the difference), when it dips down below 25fps, it struggles - seems to be about 18-20fps, but it's not that far off.

btw.. i'm liking this demo.. i'm deffo getting the game..

ok, I'm f*cking mad now!!

when I first wanted to play it, I got that windows 'do you want to sed error report' message and when I tried the 2nd time I got nothing, just black screen, but when I pressed ctrl+alt+del I saw this message on my screen:
Confirm Folder Replace
This folder already contains a folder named 'Spa'.
etc. (I have no time to write the whole text)
and on the bottom I had 3 options: yes, yes to all, no, cancel.

I tried all of them but the result was the same: the game didn't work.

Does anyone know what to do?

Didn't really understand a lot of that anze89, but alot of the crash issues with the v2.0 demo have been due to people leaving the old demo installed

it doesn't even matter now, the demo runs fine on win2000 but it doesn't run on winXP

runs nicely, and is good fun, gonna have to get this game i think (after its gone down to budget rank )

I just got the demo, and that game is looking great, the only trouble I have is : I'm a keyboard player and I can't really control the car....

Maybe I should get a steering wheel, but is it really worth it ?

I have the old version installed under c:/program files/GTR Demo and I just put the new one into a folder called c:/program files/GTR Demo 2. Works fine for me, and I run XP. The two demos don't work together so you can't drive all four cars on the same demo.

Does anyone know if it is possible to download only the day time track, I have already downloaded the demo with the dusk track and I figure I only need the day time folder and I can then swap between night and day by inserting the folder I want. Or do I have to download the whole thing again
