I just tried a C64 emulator and played one of my favourite games from back then: THE HOBBIT.
It's a "graphical text adventure". Doom3 and HL2 can kiss their polygons good-bye. This is real 3D - state of the art, stunning and life-like as it gets:

LOL, thats exactly what I did. I own the games, and I don't want to destroy them, so I play them on my disposable computer

I've played some of those very old games, but generally they were before my time.
SNES was my first games console But the first game I played was called "Grandma's Garden" for an ancient PC... one of those 'fits-on-a-floppy' 2D games with no scenery.
