GrandPrixGames Screenshot Contest #1: Close Battles: CLOSED; we have a winner!

Posted by msater
Welcome to my new competition for members here at gpg.

GrandPrixGames Screenshot Contest is based on RaceSimPitStop contest, but I've modified the rules a bit so contesters have more freedom and we can call it our own.

A entered screenshot can be from any sim, and any mod/track/car is allowed. When you enter a screenshot, please state the mod, the track, and the sim. This is mainly to allow other people to get the sim, mod or track (if released) if they like the one in your screenshot.

Rules

Enter contester can submit two screenshots, however they have to be in the same post and the post can not be edited.
As I said, any sim, mod, car or track is allowed.
The winner of each contest can state the new car, theme, mod or track for the new contest. If they forfeit the decision, it is passed onto whoever gets second place.
Each contest will last two weeks, we will then have a vote to see who wins.
The screenshots can be edited as much as you like, however please state if they are edited on unedited.

Voting

To avoid confusion, we will vote for the screenshot submitter, not the individual screenshots. So if you really like a submitted screenshot, but you really dislike his/her other one, you have to weigh up whether you should vote for him/her or not. Please note you can not vote for two contestants.[b/]

Voting: [www.misterpoll.com]

Note: The voting period shall last 10 days, like the contest itself. Therefore, the voting period shall for this contest will end on 11 November 2009.

The theme for this first contest will be: Close Battles

Hope you're all happy with this! Any new rules, suggest them in the thread and I'll add them to the next contest!

Winner

NeoLiot won this contest with a fantastic screenshot from Forza 3. He will receive a PM telling him what to do now, regarding the next contest.

Thanks,

Philip

Wait. Ummm, deadline is needed first off. And second, why can't we edit our posts prior to judging? If I decide I hate a certain screenie all of a sudden and have a better one, why can't I?

Because then to re-vote will take much more time. I think it should be a 10-day deadline, move things along faster.

Me 2 cents mate

But if voting hasn't occurred? I understand after voting has started, but before voting it makes no sense. Probably what he was saying, but it's not to clear.

Ok, I will change it to 10 day deadline, thanks for that Gui.

Gui is right Smorr. The re-vote takes a long time if people keep submitting new screenshots, and if I enter in a F1 or IRL etc race, I can't re-enter with a new team before the deadline.

It only makes things fairer for everybody.

But if you have one screenshot in a post, you can always enter a new one, Just don't change the old one.
