Which rFactor F1 MOD has the best handling?

I have the MMG MOD but the handling sucks, I have all the aids on high and cranked the car all the way to understeer, but I still spin. Is there any F1 MOD that doesn't cause you to spin out, that I can have fun driving like I did with GP4. Plus just incase I use keyboard controls.

Plus can I edit the physics to fix the handling issue if so, how and what is the name of the file I would have to edit?

I used to drive with keyboard, starting from F1C then to rFactor.

I then tried GP4, and it was a completely different experience. I didn't have to do any work while driving - on rails basically. Basically all I needed to know was how to accelerate and when to brake, no real turning knowledge needed. So if you're coming from there and you're used to that feeling, I assure you that you will need to learn to drive, period.

I've since switched to a wheel, and for sure the driving is better. But if you're like me who had to wait a number of years before being able to buy a wheel, I advise you to simply practice driving, as its the best way to get used to a new game.

And now to answer your main question:

there is no F1 mod in rFactor that has the type of handling that you're looking for. It's not the mod that's causing you to spin, its probably that you're used to GP4 and driving on rails. So again, just try to adapt to rFactor slowly by practicing. Try driving slower than you might normally and focus especially on keeping the car on the track and facing in the correct direction (if you're always spinning, which I take it you are).
Its more when I come off a slow corner that I have to give very little gas to it in order to keep control, but it cost me alot of time going slow and at times dispite I still spin driving carefully. I heard the BMW F108 has good physics but I can't get that car to come up ingame to try it, I put it in the vehicle folder put nothing.
Also would editing the hdv files do anything?

For F1, CTDP. No contest. But overall, HistorX by a country mile.

Is there a way to change HistorX to F1 2008?

That question doesn't even make sense. That is like saying: "is there a way to change Batman into Indiana Jones?"

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.
Let me rephrase. Is it possible to replace the current HistorX cars with 2008 F1 cars?

That still doesn't make sense. Are you asking me if you can make a 2008 Formula One car, drive like a 1975 Mk II Ford Escort? Because the answer is "yes, but it'd be really stupid to drive".

As for editing the HDV files, yes, it would make a different. However if you need to ask the question "Would editing the HDV files make a difference" then clearly you won't really understand what the HDV files define within them. The PM and TBC files also define handling.

But then again, just buy a cheap wheel for 50 euros or something. Or playing with a gamepad will work better too. It's not smart to hack a bunch of files to be able to drive with keyboard..

Enough with the wheels playing on the keyboard is fine, the basic question was in mmg's f1 2007 why is it impossible to acclerate out of corners without spinning? can anyone answer that?

LOL!

I just thought of something else relating to the MMG mod. In the upgrades section in the vehicle selection part, there are differing levels of TC. The default is not keyboard friendly - even though you may have the level on high ingame, it only amounts to 30% or so. Choose the highest TC level in the upgrades menu, where low TC amounts to 70% and high TC amounts to 100%. I think that should solve your problem.

because when you are using a digital throttle, it is almost impossible to accelerate cleanly.. Amazingly, this happens because of a keyboard.

Think of it as only being able to press the brake or throttle 100%, or not at all. If you slam on your brakes you can lock up; if you hammer on the throttle off a turn you lose the rear in a spin. If anything, use Stability Control and the High Traction Control as mentioned.
Well my question was best handling F1 MOD, if HistorX isn't an F1 MOD then how the hell should I know.

I'd say the ISI BMW 2007 with the aids I mentioned turned on.
I read the ISI 2008 BMW is better but I haven't tried it. I drop the folder from the zip file into vehicles folder but it doesn't come up ingame. Anyone try the RFT MOD, if so, how is that one's drivability?
