Apologies i didnt see this thread before starting my own so im moving all my non-racing renders in here if thats alright. Its my project for Final Year BSc: 3d Modelling & Animation work at Bournemouth University, England - H.M.S Pandora. Comments and feedback welcomed. :-)

I used 3ds Max 2012 & Mental Ray.

I now use VRAY as its much easier to get fantastic results. Sometime id like to redo this project in VRAY but it would mean relighting/retexturing everything.

Thank you for your kinds words. The boat and accompanying scenes were part of my BSc Major Project so it took between October 2011 - June 2012. The character was done October-January as that was a side assignment.

The boat is about 900,000 polys roughly I think. All I knew is that it was a good thing I have a very decent spec computer.
