to be fair, it's not an amazing song, it's only the end bit that we all like because we're F1 fans. we all probably would fast forward it to get to the "good bit" if we ever listened to it.

As said in the thread about that cover, they took the best part of the original song (the awesome bassline in the outro), which it could be argued was the only good part, and ripped it to pieces.

The entire cover is compressed to @#$%&. It's like a Jacknife Lee album - all the range and dynamics have been chopped off, leaving you with a mush of noise with no peaks at all, so it's unbelievably flat.

I might be able to listen to the song again if it were allowed to breath, but as it is it's just far too compressed. It's a lesson in how not to make music.



As for the original, well, as I said, many only like that outro, and it is an epic outro, but in my opinion the rest of the song is a bit average. Not bad, but I've never managed to play it, let it get to the end and then play it again. I'd always just skip back to to the 3:00 mark when that awesome bassline kicks in.

I don't like Macs even if they're Fleetwoods.
