You're right of course. Fashionwise the 70s were by far superior.

It wasn't many years ago (around 13 I guess) that I was assisting in a class to teach people the more technical side of PCs, and we were demonstrating on PCs with 40mb hard drives. The cache for hard drives isn't far off that now.

Around that time the average new hard drive would be around 2GB as I remember... you'd struggle to find a device with that little now. Some watches even have more.

My own first PC (not new I should add) was a floppy-only affair - no hard drive at all... and that was in the mid-90s. DOS does a bloody good job at preparing you as an IT tech, or indeed any computer-related job.
