Hello to all Eurovision watchers!

As you will know, this is only for EU countries, plus a few others.

However it is on TV in some other countries. See the wikipedia entry for details.

I was backing Josh Dubovie's entry for the UK.

Do you think Germany deserved to win, with Britain 25th?

I feel that Lena couldn't pronounce some of the words, which made the song worse (see video below for details)

One more point: I think they should ban all countries outside of Europe e.g. Israel (Azerbaijan and Turkey both have parts of their land mass in Europe so ignore these two), and any country who doesn't have a singer of their own nationality.

you obviously have a good ear for music, he came last with 10 points.

the sooner they stop this ridiculous and embarassing "competition", the better for us all. it's bad enough we have sh!t music in the charts and being force-fed to us by radio stations, we don't need this rubbish every year.

Yet there are people who take it dead serious and make a huge deal out of it every year. That's the thing that concerns me. How dumbed down can society get? :S

Now it's clear - Europe is tone deaf. Not only because Lena won but also because ALL entries just topped each other in terms of boredom and irrelevance. I could swear the same long and dark haired girl sang at least 10 songs and the Greek weirdo also started for 3 other countries. It says a lot when you watch the quick run before the votings starts and you don't even notice the change from one song to the next. And yes, from now on Serbia also is illegal.

I thought the purpose of the eurovision was for country's to pick the worst possible act as possible, and try to beat it the year after?

It's not my fault Europe didn't vote for it, I thought it was good.

Germany had theirs going round Europe for MONTHS, but ours wasn't advertised much at all!!!

Serbia is illegal now, as well as Croatia, oh dear. LOL So, who won it anyway? Link to the song?

Here in the US there's already a certain RTL video of her running naked and then jumping to a pool. I don't think anyone even heard her music ;)

It's not a certain video, it's a snipet from a daily soap she used to be in. After all we live in a free country and we do have nudes on TV, it's nothing special.

Here they only allow naked guys on TV that isn't exclusively cable. Bunch of hypocrites.

So she's roughly Germany's equivalent of Natalie Bassingthwaite? Hmmm, that changes my level of interest a bit ;)
