Hi guys, how are you??

Hello everyone at GPG Forum!!!

After a long time I'm returning here.
What are you doing in your life? Are you playing any Racing Sim lately??

I'm back to my hometown, I moved from São Paulo to São José dos Campos about 7 months.
Was tired with that too big city, São José is a bit small (700.000 inhabitants) and a much more planned city (hope you understand what I tried to say :P ).

I'm not playing too many games, I have GTR2 and Rfactor installed in my computer but I don't have much time to play. Two year ago I bought a Trustmasther wheel, but I want to buy a new one by the time Gran Turismo 5 launches (a long time to go :P). Yeah, I bought a PS3 two months ago, but I just have ProEvo 10, GT5P and Brutal Legends.

Who from the old time are still here in the forum, and how about new members?

Sorry for my English, I think it got worse as I'm not using it lately...

Hope to have good times with you, like I always had!!!

Busy at work at the moment. Got a whole bunch of XP and Win7 clients to deploy soon. We've bought a load of the most garish portable netbook things you could get, Acer Ferrari Ones, which while excellent technically and a damn good bargain, look ridiculous. Still, I won't be using them. ;)

Just this afternoon I received back the orders from a portrait shoot I did a couple of week back. Only shot 20 kids but got an order totalling some £400 or so*, so next week will be busy getting them printed and sent out.

Had my PC die on me last week. That doesn't happen to me. I was completely lost. My PC is the centre of my entertainment and work. TV, radio, music, data, porn, documents, the lot. The cause of the 'failure' was odd - the motherboard going over spec and trying to grab more juice from the PSU on startup than it should, so I'm now stuck with a £120 PSU which I can't use, but which isn't faulty... somewhat oddly, my PSU is stopping my PC working because it's too good.

* I realise I should have got a lot more than £400 for shooting 20 kids... any American teenager with a Glock could command more than that

Sim wise, I've not driven a proper race in ages. Done about half a dozen iRacing races in the past half a year, but that's been about it. VaderTrophy season 10 starts next month though, and it's looking like a fun season, with everyone being moved up into a faster car than in VT9. :)

welcome back, rocker. Thank you gav for setting the precedent of letting us say what's actually going on. I'm busy as all hell at the hospital at the moment, I just started an anaesthetics rotation so i thought it'd be smooth sailing since they're all asleep, it's the hardest i've worked yet. Weird.

Gui, I added you at the PSN. Are you living in the US, finished university?

Gav,
Hope your PC problem is resolved soon (is it resolved the word for fixing the problem?).
Did you took the pictures of the kids, or you just work with the pictures of them on Photoshop (or other program) and print them? 'Cause making 20 kids quiet to take pictures is something really (3 times really) difficult. I help in a social project. Every Sunday morning I'm responsible of 6-7 kids in the age of 9 to 11. It’s hard 'cause the kids are electric, they don't stop a single minute, but it's really funny.

MikaHalpinen, I didn't know you are a doctor, really nice!!!

Thanks, mortal, Monza972!!!

Are you using GPL for VaderTrophy?? I have the CD anywhere here, what time are going to be the races? Anyone from South America ever took part of VT? 'cause I don't know if our connection is good enough to play with you in US/Europe without lag...

I take the photos too. It was all very quiet though, as I had a student helping me, and she was bringing the kids and sorting them out, just 2 or 3 at a time. The Photoshop work is basically done - just resizing and small tweaks now.

GPL races are 8pm UK time (which is currently at GMT 0, around 5pm for you?) on Wednesdays. Never had a South American other than Gui, but he may have been in the US in the few races he did (and to be honest, his connection was the least of our worries ;)).

i have a mate, also called mike, and we've both decided to get ps3's and be outrageously geeky and have headsets and talk to each other whilst we play modern warfare 2. The caveat to all this, however, is that we're only going to get said ps3's when GT5 comes out. Since this is also onlineable, we're gonna play that with our ubergeek headsets too. I'm pretty sure it's not coming out till midyear, but i'm excited by it. Lastly, yes rocker, I am indeed a doctor, it might be hard to fathom but I do my job with all my heart. That's not meant to sound outrageously gay but it's true. Some of the guys here might remember my excitement when i got accepted into medicine about 5 years ago

Hey Rocker, long time no see! I'm going to uni now, I'm studying Urban Planning. It's a lot of work but it's really great! I'm the reigning VT champion (ooo, that sounds nice! ;)) and I do a bit of iRacing from time to time.

That does sound pretty gay, Mike, but I do my job in a similar way. Most of the time.

Btw, have you ever read AIRFRAME by the award-winning author of JURASSIC PARK?

Hello!

I'm good. I have an awesome job where i make my own hours (within reason) and sit working on computers all day. I also get to tel people i am teh "Transportation Technician for UPS Hubs and Gateways in the UK and Ireland". hich makes my job sound grander than it really is. I also get free food at work everyday, which rocks.

Other than that...driving what can only be described as a kick ass car.

Gaming wise, recently got into WoW, which has led to much ridicule and pisstaking, mainly by people who have never played it. I am, however, not addicted to it, I havent played for about 2weeks now due to various reasons. Dont play much in teh way of racing games anymore, I really dont have the time to practice as much as a like :(

Oi chefia, yes I am still in the US and yes I've finished uni (back in 2007). I don't trust connections in Brazil for online racing but you should be fine for GPL. I need to destroy you in PES 2010 sometime ;).

And at the moment I am cooking rice and beans. I dislike cooking very much, except pizza.

Pff, being a doctor, hardly rocket surgery is it?!?
