Fancy Dress

Been invited to a fancy dress party at the end of the month and, naturally, F1 came straight into my head. Does anyone know where I can get an adult sized race suit from? Im looking at no more than £40 as its probably only going to get used a handful of times. Im about 5 foot 8 and usually a small (sometimes a medium depending on the shop). Thanks

Yes, there are tonnes of race suits on eBay. You can't get any official ones or even officialish for that money (I think), but you could get a plain red suit for example and buy some of those sponsor thingies that you can iron onto your suit.

For £40 it would look pretty @#$%& to be honest. Better off going as something else. Or get yourself a kartsuit (which look like proper racesuits, but are not fireproof) and endeavour to go karting more regularly).

Other than that... google search for fancy dress wear, I know I have a shop in my town for that kind of stuff.

I'm sure you'll be able to get a Stig suit for £40 from somewhere... it'll be popular enough that somewhere will let them out for hire undoubtedly.

hahahah! Sadly not, i donated it to charity.

I do actually have an old plain tag mclaren nomex suit from the late 80's, and a pair of mclaren boots boxes away incresing in value. not to be worn though!

If I was at home and not at uni I could have lent you my blue sparco suit from when I was a kid (my mum bought sewed all the correct colours and patches to make it a 95' Bitburger Benetton overall :P) But it was an adult suit that I tucked legs in (I was a tall kiddo).
