Paypal Dispute???

Hey guys

I need some advice.

I just bought some car lights from a USA company who deal with their supplier from taiwan.
I specifically asked for RHD lights in item description and I emailed them asking if they had RHD, which they told me to write in the box when ordering like I did.

Now I fit them to realise they are LHD by the beam output, this will fail my MOT and im unhappy. F******

Can I start a paypal dispute over this, and claim money back for sending me an incorrect item?

Iv contacted the company (well 1 guy who runs it), just waiting for reply.

But can I paypal dispute, will it get me my money back and let me keep the lights? The cost of returning them will be over 50% of what I payed for them.

The company should refund you the money you will spend returning the item.

I don't know if Paypal will give you the money back as thats normally if the company/seller are not co-operating.

Yep. The complaint there should be with the supplier, not with Paypal. Just be a bit shirty with them about the extra shipping cost incurred, and see if you can factor in the extra cost and get it refunded.

ok thanks for the advice

I have emailed, he said if I wanted a refund. Iv replied saying i want the RHD versions if possible and an exchange which includes him paying postage as he has made the mistake not me.
