Dear God, that's bad!
Speaks volumes about what power the media and the celeb culture holds over the British public TBH.

The Stig is pretty much unheard of in parts of the world that don't watch British TV. Without this forum I wouldn't have heard of him either and to be honest I don't really care about it.

guys my auntie runs a b&b over in bovingdon, uk and she told me last weekend that 'the stig' had stayed over there secretly a while back (last year) during some propotional filming. there is an airfield that way and no doubt had a part in some show. she had to sign a heck of a load of security paperwork for the bbc, and he was apparantly 'really charming and lovely' but didn't say his name directly.

so i asked her outright and said its ben collins isn't it and she looked half surprised I knew a name, and then grinned and nodded 'yup'.

i do believe she has a photo for evidence too, ill ask this weekend as im at her daughter's christening and hopefully post it here!

but dont want to get her in trouble.... she does get a few C-list people now and again.

For anyone who wants a gift for birthdays or fathers day etc in the uk you can get a personalised poster to put in a frame depicting your name as the stig
