The '4-5 Years On' thread (56k warning)

Quite a lot of us have been around here for many years now - I joined in 2003 I think, and I still remember the first time I managed to get a new car into GP4 - I was well impressed with myself! So, what are we all looking like NOW? I've changed... You might remember me as this baby-faced little individual, MarcA...



The story goes as follows - I grew my hair and learned to play guitar...



I discovered alcohol!



I then formed a band!





And after all this, I ended up looking like this (even a little facial hair, see)...



So, how have you changed?

no photographic evidence i'm afraid. i think i registered in '01, maybe earlier, and was a GP3 player so spent my time between the GP3, F1 and off-topic forums, occasionally visiting the GP4 forum and looking on in awe at the fantastic graphics and highly-detailed cars people had made, wishing one day to be able to play it. if it was '01, i would have been in my first year of uni and worked part-time in Makro cash & carry. since then i've completed my BSc and went on to do an MSc too, and for the past year and a half have been working in the medical device industry (hip/knee replacement prosthetics and stuff). and between '03 and '06 i was massively into GP4, but haven't really bothered with it for the past few seasons. i generally look the same as i did back then, hairline receeding more though. i guess you don't change as much between say 20 and 30 as you do between 12 and 18 or however old you were/are.

I started reading in May 2003, registered in June or July and only posted twice in about 3 months until all hell broke loose :P. It was my first forum and first time having to communicate with others in such a big place but only in written form so I missed a lot of jokes, sarcasm, and came out looking very serious/arrogant because I was still improving my English and working on catching people's tone through their writing!

Anyway I don't need to post photos as the forum has enough photographic evidence (unless I'm pushed to do so )

I had a look and was suprised to see that i only joined up in 2004 (as 'iceman kimi). That would have made me 20. So i havent changed an awful lot apart from the male right-of-passage of growing the hair and then cutting it all off again....

So, it is far more entertaining to show you the 13yr old Peat and the current Peat.
