I'm guessing there was no reduction in price either!

I'm amazed there was no vegetable fat in it before... I have to say, I've been on a diet of Wispas since our local got a crate of them in and have been selling em 2 for €1, and it reminded me how good Cadbury's is. Hope this doesn't change the taste.

Sorry to spoil but the vegetable fat will change the chocolate flavour a bit.
Its like when you alter any recipe it wont taste the same changing or
adding any ingredients.

Superior chocolate only uses cacao fats. Every other fat makes it inferior.

Exactly but the more cacao fat the chocolate the less quality the result.
A real good chocolate should have 80% of cacao the rest divided by suger
and cacao fat.

yes - and milk is a no-go - the darker and the more bittersweet, the better.

A lot of products have downsized over the past few months including Mars, Smiths and Red Rock. It's a way of being able to keep costs the same while combating the rising costs of producing the confectionary. Also I imagine the so-called obesity epidemic may have led to a review of product sizes as well.

That's a bit altruistic, be alright if it were true. In reality, it has nothing to do with caring about the obesity of consumers, it's about squeezing dollars out of their wallets for less effort.

Obesity of customers hmm...
It's not the chocolate companies' fault that they have fat customers, all they have to do is eat less and exercise more...
Everything in moderation.

Not a problem lol. Have some chocolate.....no wait, it's probably fattening, or too damn expensive.

That's what she said! ;)

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

But wait...there's more....Australia's iconic Mars bar has been reduced in size by 11.6%! But the price stays the same! Supposedly this is in response to the obesity epidemic, in reality it's ripping us off. If the size is reduced, the price should be reduced as well.
