View from my office window

Something to brighten up your day. This was taken on my phone out the window of my fourth floor office in Newcastle (upon Tyne).

Love how one side of the 'bow is light and the other is dark.

I remember watching an Open University program on the physics of light refraction and reflection but I can't remember all the circumstances which contribute to this phenonomon (I blame aging for that, lol)

Great photo though, you have a fantasic view across the city (don't think I'd manage to get much work done if I'd got that to look at all day). All I can see is row's of houses the other engineering office and a few dozen Bentley's (trust me the novelty soon wears off!)

forgive the non-travelled aussie boasting his cities' warez, but isn't that pic a whole bunch of drab buildings that look like they were designed by first year architectural students with economy in mind? the rainbow's pretty though!

haha, the two white and brown offices are government built and owned - go figure. i guess newc ain't as glam as oz cities.

the highrises in the background on the gateshead side are actually rather nice.
i did cut the clocktower out - wall's in the way

lopper, the bridge (with no gold) is the millenium bridge - or the "blinking eye"...

Ahh! Shpangly, I've actually seen that bridge before. (In magazines, not in person) I'll look at it in a whole new light when I see it again....and look for the 70s-style office in the background
