So who uses it?

For those not in the know, the skinny is it's essentially a "microblog", you have 140 characters to answer the tagline "What are you doing?"

I have mine protected because I get an unusual amount of spammers for such a "small" account, so you can't read em until you start following me and I know who you are, in a "I know you, but I don't really know you" internet-kind-of way, but if you're interested: [twitter.com].

I follow amongst others Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Jason Manford, Jimmy Carr and some friends of mine, including one who introduced me to it when it was a young service!

I wouldn't 'spitter' on Twitter. It's the net version of reality tv. Go twit yourselves!

Well, he is limited to 140 characters, so if it's awful, at least he doesn't go on for too long!

Because he's a very good writer and knows his stuff. It's his commentary (and hair and unpunched face) that most of us dislike so much.

I've been reading his blog over the winter, and while he's come across as a little pretentious at times, it's still been a good read from someone who knows a heck of a lot more than most of us combined.

It's actually shorter than a text message - SMS is limited to 160 characters usually.
