i think my hottest in sydney is about 43 degrees celsius, i think it was in early 2003

outside of sydney, my hottest day would have been last year's aussie GP in melbourne at about 38 degrees celsius.

I thought I was going to see some voluptuous bird laid out naked over a photocopier or something when I saw this thread.
What a let down :( (literally)

I *think* that Rio de Janeiro had achieved 43,2 degrees celsius in one of our summer periods (1984)... and it still happens here, from time to time. The hottest temp ever achieved in our country was 45 celsius at Santa Catarina and Bahia.

The hottest I've been in is 47 degrees (albeit only outdoors briefly) in Las Vegas a couple of years back.

Hottest I ever experienced must have been 43 Celsius, but the hottest it's been here where I currently live was probably -8 Celsius ;)

A couple of years back it reached 47ºc here. It didn´t drop below 40ºc for about a week or something. The most extreme I have ever encountered was 55ºC in a big plant room I was working in. I didn´t last long in there though.

I used to work at Newman WA and it often hit 50, usually at the bottom of the pit though. Bit cooler here today, 25c. Still humid.

Since it's never been recorded over 38.1 (degrees celcius) in the UK, I think it's fairly safe to assume that in general I don't too often experience temperatures even approaching that. At the moment where I am is about -3. In the summer we're normally satisfied if it gets above 20!

The hottest country I've been to is probably Greece, where in the height of summer in some parts it can reach around 45 in a heat wave, although in more normal circumstances surprising it only averages 25-30, again it's the humidity that hurts.

Hockenheim 03 was pretty hot. We had 40°C and no shade. Went under a shower with full clothes on and only minutes later we were completely dried again.

How much can a koala bear? This abandoned baby koala was rescued from the heat. Wildlife officers will release it back to the wild as soon as it is well enough. When it realised the water was in the bucket, it climbed in.
Aaaaaw bless!
