Unless you know their current password (and you don't, obviously) so you can reset it back to it afterwards, there's no way of doing it that I can think of.

You would have just asked her then. ;)

I'm sure there is a way to get what you want. Probably by copying the profile to be the default admin profile, then using a boot cd to reset the password, but it would be quite messy, you do risk bricking the install and if that user account is the default one then she'll still know the password has changed, as you still won't know what to change it back to.
