1. At the end of the day.
2. Fairly unique.
3. I personally.
4. At this moment in time.
5. With all due respect.
6. Absolutely.
7. It's a nightmare.
8. Shouldn't of.
9. 24/7.
10. It's not rocket science.

As I personally see it, fellow forumers, and with all due respect to the Oxford Dictionary researchers who compiled the list, at this moment in time it doesn't take a rocket scientist, even one working 24/7, to figure out at the end of the day that many Britons are over-using phrases that once were fairly unique but, due to over-use have become linguistic nightmares. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Even though I probably shouldn't of bothered, it's a nightmare, absolutely. :-)

Woo, I only use 'absolutely' with any regularity! :) That makes me 90% less irritating than most Britons! (um, apparently)

Number 8 is a crime against the Queen's English.

Shouldn't 'Alright?' as a greeting be on there too?

With all due respect, I personally use all of them.

Except number 8, because I learnt to read unlike many others living on this island.

I personally rather like the expression 24/7, and I even use it quite often, through all the Dutch terms. ;)

Ahh, I yearn for the days when Ron Atkinson would use all of those within 30 seconds of each other in his match analysis, as well as 'early doors' and 'spotter's badge'.
It was great when he worked with Brian Moore about ten years back.
Now there's Clive Tyldesley and David 'Lizazaru' Pleat...

For Sure is used way too much in F1, as Bruno said, by rightly placing it at the top of his list. It should be banned!

As G.W.Bush said: 'It makes me feel like a rocket surgeon'.

Or in the words of the immortal John Madden: 'You need to see, because if you can't see, then you don't know what you're looking at'.
