Should i set max resolution on LCD 19'' wide screen?

Posted by skyline86
I just buy new LCD 19'' wide screen. But i don't know, should i set max resolution on it? Is this make it fast broken?
All TFT monitors are made to run in a specific resolution. Setting or lower shouldn't damage it, but it will look wrong... more fuzzy. So grab your monitor documentation (or google your monitor) and find the intended resolution, and set it to that.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

No, it's designed to use the resolution it's advertised at. If it's 19" that'll probably be 1280x1024 (4:3) or 1440x900 (16:9, widescreen).

Make sure the refresh rate is set to 60Hz (faster timings make no difference on LCDs and they're designed to run at 60Hz).
