And here. Early April, that's around the usual time for snow in the UK nowadays. Bizarre...

3-4 inches is the most you've ever seen? You've missed out. It's becoming quite a normal occurrence really. If this is what global warming wants to bring, I'm all for it.

I couldn't resist having a blast around on the quad-bike.....

rear-wheel-drive + 2 inches of snow = SERIOUS sideways action!!!

That's nothing. Ask your dad and he'll likely tell you it wasn't that long ago there were drifts the height of telegraph poles.

This is the sort of stuff I've biked to work in, both mountain and motor. I want proper snow. It'd been bloody cold enough for it this winter and all we got was ice and frost.

yesterday was really warm here, then it suddenly went dull and dark and we had a lot of hailstone, but they were much larger than we normally get, the size of peas. but it didn't last long and it all melted away. a lot of the north-west has been hit badly but we're ok, it's been very warm today.

You get sunshine 364 days of the year, so kindly STFU. ;-)

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld
