Hello gents and all 4 ladies!

So, it is very possible that on April 18th I leave to Europe! :D I am trying to plan an itinerary that would consist of going through Germany, Denmark, Holland, France, England, and Spain. Return would be around the 24th of May.

I haven't decided if I'll go to Germany or England first, I have to see if I can count on my good GPG friends for a place to stay in England :P. I already PMed danm, and I'd be looking at possibly 4 days in zee Great Britain - hopefully not far from London as that's where the plane would arrive. I don't know how far Portsmouth is, but anyway.

If I go to England first, the next stop (April 23rd let's say) would either be Germany or France, but most likely Germany as I'd spend a few days with my friend from uni, and then around May 1st maybe meet my cousin in Copenhagen (stay at a hostel since I don't really know any Danish people), or maybe I'd just go straight to Holland.

Now, here it would be nice to see if the Dutchies in this forum would be so kind as to provide me with a place to sleep ;). Holland is a small country so making my way to Amsterdam to meet my cousin would be fine, I'd just like to spend maybe 2 days trying to visit perhaps Zeewolde ;), and Guidoland, Byron/Maikel-land, and why not, Rickland ;).

Then, the 5th or 6th I'd go to Paris where I'd meet my cousin for sure :p and stay about 5 days there, possibly stopping by a beach in the south, near Spain (and maybe going to Bilbao to see a friend for a day).

Then the 10-11th of May (roughly) I'd go to Madrid where I'd visit my cousin who lives there and probably stay with close family friends for a week, and then go to Barcelona to meet my cousin and his brother and spend another week, returning the 24th :).

So, I'd just like to find people willing to receive a visit from me :p and possibly help me. Would be very nice finally getting to meet some of you, big time! Yeah, so please write here if you're willing to help me out or just bash me or write words of incentive ;).

Oh dear Guidoland is a quite expensive place;)
Try zeewolde there is the spyker factory haha;)
Btw its probaly smarter to go to france after england.. As there is a ferry going from dover to somewhere in france.
There is also a connection between England and Holland.. Or just get a plane ;)

Go from England with the ferry/plane to holland, to germany, to france to spain and leave there with a plain back again ;) would be the best solution I think.

UK first, then the hovercraft ferry from Dover UK to Bolougne, not that exxy, then train to Paris, then the high speed train to Munich Germany or Berne Switzerland (book ahead), ICE train around Germany, rent a car in Germany and drive the autobahn, :-) then train from Berlin to Amsterdam Holland, (Eurail pass might be useful) then fly back to London, I've done the ferry trip Holland to Harwich UK, it was appalling, never again. There was a disco pub on board, got seriously tanked and sick lol. Yawning over the side was no fun. Eeeeew!
I'm going later this year but dropping Switzerland for Italy, must go and see His Popeliness and confess my multitudinous sins. And probably say Hi to Mona and David. ;-)

Good luck with that.

The service ceased in 2000 after 32 years, due to competition with traditional ferries, catamaran, the advancing age of the SR-N4 hovercraft and the opening of the Channel Tunnel.

Was my thought exactly! ;)

How nice Nick's place or the Spykerfactory might be, i would suggest you really don't pay a visit to either Zeewolde or the rest of the regio (Flevoland) as it is boring in the most Dutch way you can imagine. As Holland is flat, green and rainy, with cows, mills and tulips etc, Flevoland is more of the same, except without the things you would like to see as a tourist (cow's, mills, tulips).

I suggest you drive through it/fly over Zeewolde and go straight to Amsterdam, to get drunk, stoned and laid. That's where it is for. ;)

I just would like to point out that I don't drink alcoholic beverages and I don't smoke and will stay away from drugs forever ;). Oh, and I am 2 years too young to rent a car ;), but I do have an international driver's license for when I was in Italy/Switzerland/France for the Monza GP last year!

But keep the suggestions coming! I remember speaking to ZaZ about Alkmaar :p. Oh, and feel free to offer a place to stay (A)

The distances involved in your trip might be greater than you anticipate. You don't get a truly accurate idea of scale from Google Maps y'know ;)

But sounds generally good. I'd avoid England though, unless you want to witness the traditional spring showers (cold, dull, constant rainfall) which will be around at that time of year.

I am only putting England in my map because of the people I talk to, other than that it was pretty "skippable"

You want more Gui's?

Personally, I'd prefer my anal passage to remain unmolested. ;)

I've been to all of London in 2001 and stayed at Enfield Lock, taking the metro everyday to Liverpool station! Even managed to get around to Wimbledon and outside of Highbury Stadium! I only said skippable because this trip came about as an idea to go with my cousin and he's not stopping there :p.
