Good job BTW. And your results were....?

AS results in for me...

A in maths, B in further maths, B in physics

D in music.

Going to study... music.

Luckily I've got my grade 6 guitar with merit, which counts for a lot more at most music courses!

well done to everyone who did well, commiserations to everyone who didn't. it's not the end of the world. sometimes if you didn't get the grades you wanted/needed to get on aparticular course, they may still take you on if you weren't far off and can impress them with your enthusiasm and motivation in a clearing interview.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

ks, where are you going to study music?

Currently looking at Academy of Contemporary music, Guitar-x (in london), Liverpool performing arts and Brighton Institute of Modern Music

First choice is ACM, going for popular/contemporary music (electric guitar), and using it more as 3 years concentrated practice and performance rather than to get a degree, as well as a chance to get some industry contacts and experience.

Sounds good. LIPA is definitely good; I have a few friends who went there and are now doing really well for themselves.

I made the mistake of doing a music degree at a university rather than a performance college; bad idea! All you need is three years of a good teacher, good practice, and plenty of contacts. And then an application form for Burger King...:-(

Just dig up this topic because I just got my A level results. I got an A in physics and Bs in maths and chemistry. Unfortunately Bristol wanted an A in maths instead of physics. So I am now waiting for them to call to tell me if they have accepted me or not. But they have given me a place next year. However my mother is having a completely incosequential telephone conversation and wont get off so I can wait for the call!

Did anyone else get there results today?
