In the UK if you are taught to drive in an automatic, you are never allowed to legally drive a manual car.

Oh, and the main reason that americans have automatic cars is because the majority of them are lazy ;)

I know - I used to live there. But because so few Californians drive manual, there is no 'learning law'.

looking on ebay for replacement nuts (where i got that pic of the nice nut from), one guy said in the description that his genuine Ford nuts would be suitable if the cap/cover has fallen off your own nuts, so i guess the Ford ones do have a cap/cover on them, and it's more probable that that's what has happened to mine, and not that someone swapped it for a crappy one.

i've had the car for over 5 years and this is the first time this has happened, i didn't even know they had caps on them, they look completely solid.

every car might come with different nuts, but someone with a Ford who has lost one could have stolen one from mine, and then been incredibly kind to fit another one to make sure the wheel is secure, which i doubt, so the cap has probably just fallen off.

I was out driving today (with the top down, I might add - Phroar) and 2 dudes in a 1988 Camaro (not an Iroc) and a friggen Dodge Intepid wanted to race me. They were buddies and still being a new driver, I was cautious. And I just passed a cop. But thankfully they did a U-Turn. I'm sure my car's sound scared them off. ;-)

So, my car isn't really that common in these parts. But 5 doors down, I saw the exact same Mustang (1988 5.0) with a blue paint job and silver stripes. Dammit!

But mines faster, so I win. :D

i love that red Camaro, Mikey.

a few years ago when i was at uni, some staff member had a black TransAm, similar to this one but all black: Click

i'd love to own a KITT replica one day. that may be sad, but i think it's an awesome looking car.

I almost bought an 80s Camaro and Trans Am. Not one of each. But still. I put an offer in for a white Trans Am (I was going to paint it black, of course) but the guy never replied. :(
