Listening to Guns n Roses at download in 2006 made me violently sick.

Mainly because of all the alcohol i had consumed over the 5 days.

Partly because Guns n Roses are now tripe.

i only heard this the other night for the first time on Colin Murray's Radio 1 show, it's Ozzy Osbourne and Dweezil Zappa covering the Bee Gees' Staying Alive (audio only):

i think it's quite good actually, i like the main guitar riff in this rock-style.

the biggest tw*t in the world, Blunt James, covered "Young Folks" by Peter, Bjorn & John:

" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

the original has the whistling which gives it its character, he's just massacred it and turned it into a hill-billy country song, the mofo.

he's taken a poppy catchy song and managed to suck every ounce of life from it.

on the other hand, Freemasons have done a good job of covering Alanis Morrisette's Uninvited with a new singer:

original (ignore the Crappy Potter video, it's the only one i could find with the recorded version of the song):

Any particular reason James Blunt is the biggest tw*t in the world? Other than his music isn't to your taste?

it's scientific fact. Stephen Hawking explained the reasons (which i won't bore you with right now), but trust me.

and about that Keane Queen/Bowie cover, it's not horrendous, but it's not particularly exciting or different either. heard it on the radio the other day, listened to about half of it and then switched off.

I haven't. However Google tells me that My Chemical Romance did the cover so I shall not be listening to that.

Muse has a beautiful piano bit for Bliss but it's a shame there's a synthesizer over it so in a quest to find a clean version, I could only come across this:

The guy is actually a good singer, so it's a nice video

This is actually a cover done a tongue in cheeck, and being still(or probably just because of it) infinitely better than the original one.

Britney Spears 'Oops I did it again' covered by Children of Bodom:

They originally covered this for one of their japanese album releases as a joke.

You realise that by posting this in the "original songs destroyed when rerecorded" thread, that you've just slated the loves of your life, yeah?

I'm ashamed to say I quite liked that. It was good simple cheesy pop. Got bored of it after 10mins of course, like all pop.

Wow, they managed to make a tremendously bad song even worse.
