Hi Bruno, I got that exact same notice when I recently went to post from my other old account here(My Senna account, ironically one which you originally inspired me to create!).
It seems like less and less features of this site are working properly now. Still, I love that the notice has the word Phorum in it, for purely nostalgic reasons!
I loved choosing my avatar when I first made one for my account here. I saved a bunch of photos from Google image search results onto the computer and then used MS Paint to shrink them till they were a small enough size that they could be uploaded to my account. That was back in 2008, summer 2008 if I remember right. That was when I made the avatar(An image of Senna, Estoril 1985) which I’m still using now.
I played around with a few different avatars in early 2009 - I had one of Niki Lauda at Zandvoort in 1974, I think, which I used for a few weeks in summer 2009 - and then when the November 2009 site upgrade happened and bigger avatars could be uploaded as a result, I used one of Senna at Donington in 93 during late 2009/early 2010. But not long after that I think I got bored of trying different avatars and went back to Senna Estoril 85, which has always been my go-to.
Edit: After a quick check, I’ve seen that as well as the 3 avatar images I’ve already mentioned - the image of Niki is from Jarama 1974, not Zandvoort - I’ve also got an image of a Rage Against The Machine album cover, as well as a downsized copy of a comedic Bebo Whiteboard which one mate drew of me, parodying a photo of me which was taken in October 2007(So the Whiteboard could’ve been drawn anytime between October 2007 and December 2009, when I uploaded this image as one which I’d resized to the maximum dimensions which the November 2009 site upgrade allowed. But I think the Whiteboard was actually drawn in very late 2007 or early 2008. OMG, this feels like a different lifetime now!!).
I’m actually glad I uploaded that Bebo Whiteboard image now. I do remember seeing it when it was first created, and I’m not surprised to see that I saved it, because I’ve always been keen to document my life experiences and saving meaningful images has always been a part of that for me. But I was homeless back when that Whiteboard image was created, and the computers which I saved it onto and uploaded it to my account here from will have ceased to exist long ago. So, without realising it at the time, I ensured that image’s survival by uploading it to my account here, because I’ve now been able to save it onto the phone I’m posting from - so it can now be backed up to my Google Images and I can also re-enhance its resolution by taking screenshots of it. Win win!
