probably the death penalty in any form.

and i wonder how long it will be (if it hasn't happened already) for the video showing him drop appears on the 'net. i've only seen it up to the point of them putting the noose aroun dhis neck and him saying a few words (no sound though) on the news.

As Muks said, in any form. He suffers more if he's put into jail for the rest of his life, having only water and bread as food rather than making an end of it in a few seconds.

I do understand the Iraqi people want him dead.

Making him suffer is wrong though, its wrong for anyone to be forced to suffer...

to some people he was a great man, to others a w*nker :p.. so he was given a penalty suiting both views, well ish.

it's wrong for anyone to be forced to suffer, yet it's ok to hang him till he's dead? is that not suffering (albeit for only a few seconds)?

He's pretty old anyway, he'd only live for maybe 10 years, and even then he'd probaly kill himself or something.

Like LS said, Iraqi court, irqi judgs, in iraq. Good enough for me.

The people who thought he was a great man have never known what cruelties Saddam has done. During the Saddam regime there was very little freedom for the press, only what Saddam wanted to show on the TV was shown, so he didn't want to show anything that was critisizing him, but things that praised him. Those people just don't know any better.

I know a lot of bastards, but that doesn't make me go and kill them, or wish them dead. And come on, don't make this about it us. Whether or not is good enough for us is irrelevant. There are far more important things at stake.

On the top of my hat, things like A) will this help Iraqis to forget and forgive, and concentrate on building a better tomorrow instead of acting out retaliation for the past? B) is there any way that this can be considered just desert and to whom? C) is there some sort of deterence effect towards crimes against humanity? D) was there any sort of means to acheive a repentance and restoration of Saddam? E) was it worth all these sacrifices to get this done (things like the death rate of Iraqis is much higher NOW than it ever was under Saddam, despite him being a murderous bastard that wasn't afraid to combat his subjects with chemical weapons!)

Things like these are important. I might be wrong, but I'd figure:
A) yes
B) debatable
C) no
D) no
E) no

A different and better sentence would have brought a higher yes score, IMHO.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

I see a mobile phone video of saddam fully choking to death. But i feel sorry for him because he really old, but in the same way he have to die from killing more than hundred and thousand of people.Hitler should suffer like saddam hussien but he died from suicide. Well next to execute is Bin La Den if the american can found him.

he wasn't only a bastard but killed thousands of people to, and some of them on a cruel way so imo they may cut of a finger of feet or something from him and then later on hang him.
