When I'm shopping for PS2 games or DVD'S, behind the games or DVD'S there's always at least 2 empty DVD cases. Blue ones on the PS2 shelf, and usually black on the DVD shelf.

Now are these empty cases there to simply fill up the shelf while they're running low on a particular title, or are they free cases for the customers to take?! Really, really daft question but it's just one of those things I've always wondered but never asked. Didn't really wanna try walking out with a couple tomorrow if it ain't alowed ;)

It's all for free. Just take as much as you like. Also have a look at widescreen plasma HDTV screens, vaccum cleaners, digi cams and espresso machines - they are free, too.

Yeah - seriously you wondered which of those 2 was the reason?

Also, what belongs to the DVDs?

(or what belong's to the DVD's ;) )

you could just ask the staff in the shop if you genuinely had no idea, rather than asking here, where you may get dubious advice *points to Vader's post*

Don't they normally have yellow letter on them for alphabetical sorting of the other cases ?

I knew a Dan Mills. Unfortunately he was tragically killed this morning while trying to thumb a lift off a GNER 225.

lol!

what about printing off a dvd cover of your own, then slipping it into the blank dvd box case whilst you browsed choices, then rented one at the counter with your original stuff too. might help if you have bags of other stuff too, like youve just come from town ;)

still, best bet is to just ask mate!

LMAO! I work at Game, and if you came into my shop and started taking our dummy boxes I think you would get arrested ;) But yeah, we order them from our head office to back out the shelves. That way we only need to have 2 or so of each game out on the shop floor so we can keep all the rest sealed in our cabinets/stock room.
