Muse. Wembley. 2007.

Well, i've just got myself two tickets to see Muse on the 17th June 2007 at the brand new Wembley Stadium. The first band (confirmed) to play there.

According to radio1, they sold 68,000 tickets in just under 35 minutes, haha :|

LS's Tip of the week
ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

managed to get some tickets from good ol' grimsby for just under 80quid with a coach included.... (it would cost about 80quid for a return train on its own, and then you cant come back till the morning cause no trains come to the end of line late at night haha)

so basically i'll go into town, get on the coach see muse, get the coach back. i hope i don't have an exam in the morning haha

has anyone else got/are getting tickets?

Yeah I got two standing tickets for the first night (16th) Originally they only announced one date but due to the demand they're doing two.
Went to see them a few weeks ago in Cardiff International Arena too, they're absolutely brilliant live, should be a hell of an experience in Wembley with 75,000 people

Yeah i saw them on their last tour too matt, on the 18th november at Sheffield, it was amazing to say the least. at one point during the hysteria solo, mattbellamy was on his knees literally 2meters in front of me ha, everyone was going mental! i know Wai went to see them too in Glasgow, he sent me some pictures of it before i went, ooh i'm just lost for words haha.

seen them twice now. Awesome band.

Just make sure you get in a place that the acoustics dont suck manpole. I saw them at Earls court, and the sound was dreadful. That was until i vaulted the fence out of the rubbish seating area, ran past the security and got myself close to the front.

in the November gigs, what sort of set did they play? equal amount from all their albums? or more stuff from say the last 2? how many off Black Holes... did they play?

They were playing Black Holes stuff mostly, actually on a couple of occasions they came out, played the entire album in order then came out for an encore of about 6 other songs. Usually they either play one or no songs from Showbiz, all the main songs from origin (plug in baby, bliss, newborn, sometimes citizen erased) and ditto for absolution (time is running out, hysteria, stockholm syndrome, butterflies and hurricanes).

I expect the wembley setlist to be slightly more career spanning though because it'll be the biggest gig they've ever done, hopefully have a longer setlist too.

i just booked tickets to see them on the 17th.

Level 5 block 527 tho, which is somewhere up the top, to the side. would rather be standing and getting in right amongst it. me and a mate are driving all the way there from Glasgow (road trip)

i'm going to wembley on feb 28th to see keane :D

Would have done Wembley but the ticket sales coincided with me being away from the PC. Also the fact that standing would actually kill me this time and sitting down is rubbish.
